This was a collaboration with my fellow photographers Charles [link] and Faye [link]

It was shot in the badlands of South Dakota over a quite little weekend. For the most part it's a series of 30 sec exposures at 2.8 and 3200 iso.

If you want to see it on Vimeo in HD... [link]

For what my comment's worth, this really is awesome. Stunning location. It saddens me somewhat to know how much I just don't see.

@01:29this gave me goose bumps...
its soo calm and also... soo nostalgic...It has a really sad feeling, but i think is what makes it great.
The music goes perfectly with those images...
Congratulations, I really enjoyed watching it

@01:29I'm honored that you took the time to watch it. It's interesting that you found a sense of sad nostalgia in this one. I really am drawn to that mood in particular and if that came across I'm very glad to hear it. The music is always hard in these things. We had to match both the length and mood and must have listened to a couple hundred songs. In the end we lengthened this one and I think it worked out. As always, I'm very glad to have your comment.

Oh petitecat, that truly makes my day. :heart:
I was starting to worry that I had made a dud or something boring, so such a compliment has really lifted my spirits. I greatly appreciate the feedback, especially coming from someone so talented. Thanks.

Come on! Boring??? No way, your work amazed me, such a pity that my english isn't perfect. Because I could describe in 100 words how beautiful A Star Trail is. I'm waiting for something similiar, you do it so well, as I see.

For some reason people don't like to comment on videos so I sometimes start to question if I did something wrong, but the couple sincere comments I've gotten so far really make up for any one word comments I missed out on. I'm feeling very good about this project now. :)
